Darcel HeathMelanie Jackson
New Media Manager
DHeath International
Melanie Jackson is an exciting new addition to D. Heath International, and we enjoy watching her growth in the Customs Brokerage and International Transportation industry. As a post High School Graduate and current college student, she represents the next generation of Customs Brokerage and Freight Forwarding around the globe. Like most young adults, she loves the world of social media and enjoys the many advantages of the internet.

She began working part time during the summer months, at the Baltimore Office of Jagro Customs House Broker. As an entry level employee, she performed and learned many skills concerning CBP, such as preparing entry packages, customs exam processing and setup, various types of release requirements, etc. Melanie recognized that there is a delicate line between the customer, CBP and the vessel carriers. So, she approaches her skillset as well as she does on social media. Melanie demonstrates that thinking “outside of the box” yields simple and efficient results on several projects. Thanks to this “forward thinking” young lady, we are now at the beginning of forming our Facebook Page, as well as Twitter, Instagram and even Vine.

She is an avid dancer and has attended the Washington School of Dance in N.W. Washington D.C. Travelling to competitions, forging friendships with fellow dancers and enjoying the local quisine occupies Melanie’s spare time. When she’s not travelling for an event, she enjoys the company of her family, friends and her pet dog.

We enjoy watching Melanie’s growth of in this industry.
